The 2023 Rail Roundup was held at Aspen Grove Inn, east of Idaho Falls outside Ririe, on July 7th - 9th. We had 29 of 38 attending. Everyone had a great time catching up and just hanging out.
Friday, July 7th
On Friday we started to arrive starting at 3pm. Room assignments were given and about 6pm we gathered for dinner. BBQ Chicken prepared by James and Laurena. At about 7pm we gathered for another edition of Grandma's family history presentations. This year Grandma and Grandpa Williams were featured. Different members of the family read from the personal histories of John and Doris Williams, in their own words and in first person. It was interesting to hear their own words describing their history. We sang a family song put to the music of "I Belong To The Church of Jesus Christ". The rest of the evening was spent chatting and playing games. Everyone seemed to enjoy their time catching up with family members.
